We Still Fight Lyrics
Talk of the causes you support
Voice your misdirected views
You only comment on the things you don't have the power to change
Do you even think before you speak
Do you know what it is that you condone
Take a look at the world today
You've taken your freedom and safety for granted
How do you justify (you have no right)
The way you disgrace those who gave their lives
And how do you justify (you have no right)
The way you disrespect those who's loved ones died
Every day is a different crusade
You revolt from the safety of your fantasies
Priviledged, you've never fought for a thing
You'd be the first to go if there was real anarchy
All your jargon makes me sick
You're the farthest thing from an activist
You've lost sight of what's important and real
You've taken your freedom and safety for granted
How do you justify (you have no right)
The way you disgrace those who gave their lives
And how do you justify (you have no right)
The way you disrespect those who's loved ones died
This is dedicated to all those who gave their lives to uphold their beliefs
No to those who try to demean their sacrifices
You have no right.
For those who fought for our rights and for those who gave their lives
And for the families who's loved ones died
It's their honor for which we still fight

A great salute to those who fight for us.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. -George Orwell
you all are horribly mistaken.. another song about Jamey Jasta's lover Corey Taylor.. the whole thing is about how even though they are a happily gay couple.. they still fight.. but they have creepy sick makeup sex... in honor of nu-metal
i am actually going to stab your teeth you fat poof.
awww.. I guess he's jealous..
hey, chrystfucker, fuck off, nobody cares about you, how in the hell can you put down the soldiers like that BURN IN HELL
wha, wha, what!!??? They have a gay couple in the band!?!?
lol, that's cool. But, I like this song in anyways. I don't think they're anti-antiwar protestors but those obnoxious neo-hippies who just get on people's nerves.
It's easy to speak about social justice and freedom when you really haven't experienced it. Hiding behind their ivory towers of academia (though being no higher than a bachelor's degree in education), criticizing people who have fought for their own beliefs.
i agree with this song so much, i absolutely can't stand rich fucking privileged teens/20-somethings who talk all about peaceful anarchy when they live in perfect security in their suburban homes their parents paid for with it's gates, fences, neighborhood watch, and general upper to upper-middle class lifestyles. if they were let loose into the realm of man at his most basic survival mode these twinkies wouldn't let last a day. so who are these kids to demean the people who voluntarily choose to do what they feel is the best option of protecting the freedoms that people in this country have, freedoms those little shits take for granted.
Jesus Christ, the misinterpretation of this song is depressing. Here's a qoute from JJ himself from the Crusher interview:
"JJ: I just hope and pray that everybody that's there currently serving can get home safe and sound. In the inner city a lot of people's way out is joining the military. For a lot of people it gives them a way to get education they unfortunately aren't able to get on their own. Travelling all over the world I see people from all different forces...the British military, the French, Germans. I've been to Israel, South America, Japan. To me, young people everywhere regardless of whether they agree with what's going on and certain conflicts, the military is often their way to get education or a way out. All you can do is say "get home safe" and try to keep a positive outlook. Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of people injured or coming home with PTSD, even guys from the Gulf War. I remember going to shows with guys who then went and came home from the Gulf War. Now you've got the new guys in Afghanistan and Iraq and we see it. On our last tour when we played where people are stationed there's less people there because they are all overseas serving."
Oh, and benxasylum? You'd be surprised how many of us in the Service despise fucktards like you, who believe whatever men in charge want them to believe, and can't think for themselves. What's going on in the sandbox isn't about protecting freedom. Read the song lyrics again and try to form an original thought about who the song might be referring to.
