The Ghosts Of Shadows Passing In City Streets Lyrics
I can hear her footsteps beating closer. This may be my only chance. In a shadow of doubt I doubt our shadows kissed in dance. Without lips or eyes to open or close my hand felt your heart along the cracked pavement. Ghosts go unnoticed I suppose. And I've unstitched the seams it seems this is the final farewell. I've locked myself up. Up in a room. Where willows weep. And you know every time you leave it chokes to breathe. Into a chest the blackest of blue. Where the ravens rest. Waiting to pick. Pick my heart apart. They diagnosed schizophrenia. But I know it's hypothermia. Cause this coffin's too cold without you near. To be alive's a crime when your heart's died.

good song. i like the lonely waltz of leonard cohen off of the split with pg99 better, though.
some of the best lyrics ive ever read. i agree with the above poster about the split. that split is one of the best splits i own.
i haven't listened to this song since about this time last year. drools uncontrollably
ps - this song is from the split with Pg 99, but the reason i mentioned The Lonely Waltz was because one of the singers for CoC did vocals on The Lonely Waltz..
the first few lines remind me of sonic youth's "shadow of a doubt"
ya these are prolly the best lyrics. I really like how coc repeats words, and makes two sentences into one. they do it well.
Some of my favorite lyrics of all time come from this song. "To be alive's a crime when your heart's died." So, so good. Definitely the best COC song, lyrically.
