Angry Candy Lyrics

my ticket
exploded
when you came
from nowhere
and left me
in static
now i just hang around

i got seizures
uploaded
in life size
and they’re gonna blow
like see through
like stupid
just like at home

so
you missed the getaway
and
you crashed the stolen plane
now everyone can say

your keys are
already
in heaven
on radar
they’re restless
they’re waiting
for you to go
let me go round
your making me out

so
you missed the getaway
and
you crashed the stolen plane
now everyone can say

a hideout in the brush
to heal a broken mind
i heard the crooked words falling
down

This reminds me of My Bloody Valentine. Thus it's bloody great! What a great album! A Silent Gem.

The song is possibly an analogy of a messed up robbery to describe a relationship.

isn't this album just underrated? i can't see the reason why it's not much more well-known. and to this song, it's great and everything, of course, with sub zero fun possibe the best moment of the album. The first thought that came to me was that it would be good in an advert for a car, really. strange thought, wouldn't it be, though? imagine that. it would work.

someone with great taste in music recommended this album to me & I cannot thank him enough. I love the way you don't quite know what their words mean.

I think greg edwards is allergic to fame. Cuz, like, failure and autolux were fantastic and really top notch music... that went nowhere. His musical style reminds me a lot of kurt cobain: spaced out, abstract, cynical and depressive yet poppy, melodic, and not at all serious...paradoxically dispassionate yet very energetic... apathetic & disconnected from time, yet dysphoric and angry and accutely aware of past present and future.

And, you know, failure wouldn't have been an ounce as good as they were without his influence. No offense to ken andrews, he writes good music, but greg has the real talent that made failure so special. Failure was a paradox... creepy brooding dark undercurrents, beneath a surface of chimey melodic pop, Failure sounds like time itself, layered time. And, greg is really what made that happen. That's why autolux is the win, meanwhile everything ken has done has been good but it just didn't have the artistic interest of failure. I remember when "hunted" came out with yotr, it was really awkward because I felt like ken was thinking "oh man, how do I emulate a failure song? " it was just so artificial.

I think this one is about the writing of Burroughs, or rather the experience of reading it and the feelings left behind afterwards.
