i think this is an excellent song because it's written as someone might actually say it. i mean... it's a beautiful song, but the lyrics aren't forced poetry, they're just normal dialogue. i love the idea too because it's something almost everyone can relate to.
"I never asked you to kiss me Just don't want you to be sorry you didn't try" sometimes i just feel the need to say that. i wish people would say what they mean and only say stuff they mean, and i wish people would disscus what they where thinking at the moment they thought it not 6 months later. time doesn't go on forever.
This is a cute song. I read somewhere that it is about Chris Thile's younger brother.
The way i perceive this song is that it's about young love- not necessarily love but what one inexperienced young person would call love. He has never felt this before so he is confused and being mislead by another. Basically he is probably in high school and some girl is playing with his feelings (nothing against girls, i happen to be one but i know how all that goes).
i agree with everything above, except i don't think the girl knows she's playing with him. i think they're both as clueless as each other
