Single Lyrics
Day one, just starting to make my obsession
4AM, two stars, drunk in hell, waiting for sun
Day two I called you by mistake
"Hello, how are you? I'm fine. I miss you too."
You don't give a shit
There's another town to hit
There's another girl, she surely destroy my world
A single good morning a, well goodnight
An overture's ending as curtains rise
Pay the bail again, pay the man at the front just for the memories
Time to crash on a long drive
See old friends, tell them how I've died
Some small words say you're alive
A thinly veiled disguise, they see the look in your eyes
A single good evening, a well goodbye
The worst of intentions or wasted lives
A sentence, a segue, falling by the wayside
I'm not the one who wanted this
Goodnight kiss doesn't feel the same in long distance
Goodbye kiss doesn't feel the same
Goodbye kiss doesn't feel the same
Goodbye kiss doesn't feel the same at all
4AM, two stars, drunk in hell, waiting for sun
Day two I called you by mistake
"Hello, how are you? I'm fine. I miss you too."
You don't give a shit
There's another town to hit
There's another girl, she surely destroy my world
An overture's ending as curtains rise
Time to crash on a long drive
See old friends, tell them how I've died
Some small words say you're alive
A thinly veiled disguise, they see the look in your eyes
The worst of intentions or wasted lives
A sentence, a segue, falling by the wayside
I'm not the one who wanted this
Goodbye kiss doesn't feel the same
Goodbye kiss doesn't feel the same
Goodbye kiss doesn't feel the same at all

go see sugarcult, talk to Marko.....then you'll see why. whether you consider him talented or not..which he himself wont even claim to be, you gotta respect him as a person, hes cool shit.
"Single" is scheduled to be the first release from Bad Astronaut's full c.d "Houston We Have A Drinking Problem" which is set to come out on Honest Don's now instead of My Records.
Marko actually wrote this song and is really excited that Don's is going to be doing a promotional push on the c.d. and try and get the song radio play in October.
This ones a little different to comment on...cause I know the person who wrote it and I dont really wanna judge what he was writing about, but fuck it like he'll see.
the narrator appears to have struggling issues with being in a relationship ecspecially when its one of distance..ya know actually this song is a lil more obvious to interpret so I'll leave it at that
i think you got some of those lyrics wrong.
maybe if you looked in the cd jacket you'd find the correct lyrics. :(
Actually, depends on whether you have the Houston, We Have A Drinking Probelm copy of Single or you have the acoustic version from the album Experiments in Audio Rocketry - I think the two versions are different in lyrics. I noticed a couple small things that were off in the two versions.
Both songs have their strong points. The somewhat upbeat tone of the song in Houston, We Have A Drinking Problem conveys sort of a bitter tone of voice. The acoustic version is more hopeless and heartfelt... more heartbroken at being away from someone you love, yet doesn't seem to care about you.
I only just recently listened to the acoustic version and I've been listening to the other version for more than a few months now, so it's hard to say which one is better. They both don't really flow too well with Houston, We Have A Drinking Problem but eh... what are you going to do, right? =)
RIP Derrick Plourde
This song sounds completely different than the tone for the rest of the album, Houston We Have a Drinking Problem. Its kind of a let down track when compared to every other song... the new album has some amazing songs, this just isnt one of them.
And i dont know why everyone respects Marko so much, he isn't that talented... these lyrics are just not on par with the rest of the lyrics on this album or on acrophobe.
