Send Packing Lyrics
With every movement everything sags
I drink till I’m sober, and start again
If you had the answers, cause I wasn’t sharp
The wine wasn’t ending, well why did it start
I do declare you are all that I wanted
I was so stubborn, the risks were undaunted
If you had the answers, and I wasn’t told
That makes you selfish, heartless and cold
If I’m sent packing, and I’m giving up
Rights to the children, the keys to the truck
If you had the answers, then why was it hard
To lock the door, and keep up your guard
I’ve nothing to say
That we haven’t gone over already
I’ve nothing to say
That we haven’t gone over already
I drink till I’m sober, and start again
If you had the answers, cause I wasn’t sharp
The wine wasn’t ending, well why did it start
I do declare you are all that I wanted
I was so stubborn, the risks were undaunted
If you had the answers, and I wasn’t told
That makes you selfish, heartless and cold
Rights to the children, the keys to the truck
If you had the answers, then why was it hard
To lock the door, and keep up your guard
That we haven’t gone over already
I’ve nothing to say
That we haven’t gone over already

this is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. I absolutely love it.
this is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. I absolutely love it.
i can't help but cry during this song. it's so peaceful, like he doesn't care that his life is over. it sounds like one of those songs they play in a movie where a suicide is slowly being carried out by the main character. like we slowly see him cry out his last tears, as the blade severs his vains. it's like the song plays out the ending of a long, sad thing. and maybe this song will be playing if i "go". there is so much shit in my life right now, and so much pain, that maybe...just maybe...and sharp pain to the wrist is worth the ending.
please let me forget you...
k..... O_o
its a good song. one of my favs from the band..
so is it just about him being an abusive drunk because that's how it sounds
yeah it is a very good song though I love it such a masterpeice
honestly, it sounds like it's a song from the perspective of an adult going through a divorce. the parent obviously has a drinking problem ("With every movement everything sags I drink till I’m sober, and start again")
this was really the part that made me think it was about a divorce: "If I’m sent packing, and I’m giving up Rights to the children, the keys to the truck"
the last part fits because it shows the two parents have argued so many times but nothing really changes: "I’ve nothing to say That we haven’t gone over already I’ve nothing to say That we haven’t gone over already"
best alltimequaterback song by far, its got the bestsound quality too, everything else sounds to quite and airy. this song you can actually latch onto.
