Imprint Lyrics
One step, I make an imprint
Two steps, is commitment
Three steps, Im not done yet
Draw my other leg up, and the pace is set
(Hello hello hello)
Gotta belive in whats real
You gotta go with what you know
You can leave here with a good feeling
You never know its only so
Jesus Christ and heaven has always been there
Gotta believe in whats real
You gotta go with what you know
One step, I make an imprint
Two steps, is commitment
Three steps, Im not done yet
Draw my other leg up, and the pace is set
(Hello hello hello)
Got to tell you what I feel
Although the tank is running low
Over this big lie for real
Never heard you couldn't go
Heal now, you're cut from the cords of the wicked
Gotta believe in whats real
You gotta move on down the road
One step, I make an imprint
Two steps, is commitment
Three steps, Im not done yet
Draw my other leg up, and the pace is set
One step, I make an imprint
Two steps, is commitment
Three steps, Im not done yet
Draw my other leg up, and the pace is set

This is obviously about Jacob in Twilight movies imprinting all over you and loving longtime. Taylor Lautner is hottest guy ever and thats what song is bout OK??! And yes I still have guycrush on Taylor Lautner and im TeamJacob 4life!!!
I saw these guys live last wednesday (the 19th) and fo sheezie this band is pretty damn awesome. i love this song... apparently it's their single off the upcomming album... it's great stuff... socialburn is great, too... check them out... oh, if you get the chance... see seether live... it's awesome...
The song is obviously about wrestling, I guess if you knew anything about it you would probably think the same thing, even their name DoubleDrive is a wrestling move...
I think this song is about religion in a way and one's relationship with god.
i TOTALLY agree with "ricetothe4th", thats exactly what i think. ;) great, great, song.

I first hear it and thought of either starting a realtionship with God (one step, i make an imprint etc, being baptism, communion etc.) or a serious realtionship,
I think you all suck balls. alot. I'll go out on a limb and say it once again. i think you all suck balls. you all suck alot of balls. besides you all sucking alot of balls together all at the same time, double drive is a fucking tits band and this song rocks. i'm going with the religious theme here just because its talking about heaven pretty obviously. so the jackass who says its all about wrestling I'd like him to explain what the fuck wrestling and heaven have to do with each other. oh wait, nothing...you damn ball sucker.
We toured with this band for a short time. The song is about a relationship with God and clearing your head of what the world has to say. There you have it, as close to the horses mouth as it can be. I always thought it was about a relationship too until I asked the guys about it.
I think this is about life. I'm going to use a comparison that may or may not have been intentional, but in the bible, Paul in Corinthians says that life is a race and we should run the best race. To me, this is likening life to a race. Anything positive you do leaves an imprint on the world. You affect people, places, things. And then when you do something else, its saying you're doing it on purpose. The third step (or thing you do) is saying that you're dedicated to doing this, and the fourth step is pretty much saying you've set a pace. It also talks about believing in Jesus and Heaven as inspiration, because it's real and what he knows. The one concert video I saw of this song, the singer even points up while he sings it. To me, this song is someone who sees life as a race, he's focusing on God to get him through because God and Heaven are the rewards (and helping hand to get through), and he's doing as much possible to make a difference in the world for the best.
