Columind Lyrics

What do you think you did here kid?
You're living like some rich kid bitch?
The scratch that makes you flinch
The scratch that you can't itch

What do you think you got done here man?
You're putting on a show
What do you think you got done here kid?
Did you reach your killing goal?

Shame, you got everything, you want everything
Shame, you need everything, you kill everything

Oh Christ, look at them bleed
Oh, what makes this sick disease?
Oh God, they're on their hands and knees
Oh, look at me, I'm about to be free

Now when it's all over
Listen to this shit man
Now when it's all over
We won't care, we won't care

Shame, you got everything, you want everything
Shame, you need everything, you kill everything

"In the chorus, Richie screams and sings out, "Shame, you had everything, you killed everything." Not just like, "shame on you, kid" but deep shame on you. Like, I wish on your soul deep shame, because you killed your classmates for the stupidest of reasons. Because maybe they bullied you, maybe they didn't accept you. Well you know? Pick up a guitar and write a fuckin' hit song about it. Then, when they're sitting there dicking around at their then year reunion, wondering "Hey, do you got 3.2 kids and Beamer?" and you're fucking on the cover of Rolling Stone, you can laugh your ass off." -Geno Lenardo, filter guitar player

Wow...i love this song...THIS is good Filter. I'm not a huge Filter song, but this is a song that pushes the lines and boundries. To me, i think when he says "We wont care, we wont care", i think he means that...when the kid(s) did the school killings, they thought people would care about them now, they thought people would love them now. But I mean look at it...all they fucking did was kill someone. Should we give a shit now? hell no. I certainly hope not, at least.

I just visited the Columbine High School Memorial in Colorado. So sad.....My 17 year old had the idea to visit...he was born the same year of the shootings....I am 56 and stood there and cried...so much sadness....my wife was driving so I put on my headphones as we drove off to head back to Wisconsin....I played Filter Columind....pretty much says it all...Geno Lenardo....I totally agree with what you said...Do what fucking ever and just live!!! PEACE!!
