Message in a Bottle (Police cover)

Wow, I can't believe that no one has commented on this song yet. I realize that he didn't write this song, but this song really shows off how talented he really is musically, not just lyrically, as he is usually noted for. His guitar-playing is just beautiful, and his voice...ooooooh is all I can say!

This is a great song! I didnt realize untill now that he didnt write it. I wish i could go to one of his concerts!!

The cover of this song is fantastic! Mind you, the Police rock and I love them, but this was just covered so passionately and vibrantly. To have been able to have covered it this well, he must have felt some sort of connection to it, which allows to understand the sort of person he truly is, although we all know he is wonderful!

Having been around when the Police were actually recording (as was John Mayer, though he's a tad younger than I am) AND being a die-hard Police and Sting fan, I have to give creds to him for doing the song justice with this rendition.

It's a damn good song, and in the right hands, it totally will rock. But Mayer has the right hands. And the right heart.

Sting would be proud.
