this song is really beautiful sounding but idk wut it means... but i love it and love listening to it. makes me think of someone trying to forget the past by travelling to somewhere sunnier and warmer... thinking the new weather will help

in a way the sunny tune hides a darker meaning for me. the first lines reflect so accurately how i feel when i am in the middle of a depression, people blur up and i cant hear them properly. it is as though i am in a different world to them, whether that is a sunny one i dont know. but the lyrics hit me every time and give comfort. especially when i cant stand people talking at me.

It's about planning to leave your old life because nothing seems to make sense anymore in this world. The person wants a change of atmosphere or world, from a cold world to a warmer place, where people are perhaps more carefree, and less concerned with materialism.. He is going to a place where he is closer to nature, where life is simpler.. " where the sun keeps on shining through the pouring rain ".. It means , life there is still worry free in spite of adversity perhaps because it is generally a happier place , with a lower standard of living..No bills to pay, just spend to live for life, away from western world consumerism..

Personally, I think this song is about suicide...'I'm going where the sun keeps shining, through the pouring rain' just says heaven to me, the song is also pretty melancholic, it's making light of a dark situation. 'Only echoes in my mind' all in the past, forgotten. I think it's open to interpretation though, like most good songs :)

I have always loved this song even though I've never been sure about its meaning. I think all four posts so far are interesting. And I definitely agree with effieb1992 that, "it's open to interpretation though, like most good songs". I think it's probably about someone trying to forget something that keeps reverberating in their mind.
