Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
The flies buzzing is reminiscent of the sound of eraser from tds.
Anyone else hear crickets about 4:30 to 5 into the song?
Has to be the oddest NIN song, and the eeriest song I've ever heard. I do enjoy listening to it while sleeping. It's probably what dying and rotting in the ground would sound like, you know, if you were conscious for that.
Unfortunate that NIN shyed away from instrumentals in With Teeth, seeing as how arranging and not writing lyrics, is Reznor's strong point.
I added this song so people can discuss it. It's a weird way to end The Fragile, but it's sort of calming. Listen to it at night in bed with your eyes shut and you get the weirdest pictures in your mind...
it may just be me, but i absolutely love their instrumental music. it's gorgeous.
i think the melodies really have just as much feeling in them as they ever could with lyrics.
I agree, this is the best instrumental. But all you people saying NiN makes killer instrumental. You want Killer Instrumental, just take the lyrics out of almost any song. All of Trent's music is killer!
I wish they'd put lyrics to this. =( It would.. Be freaky. Yet.. Great and Intriguing.
It does end the Fragile kinda permaturely. The song kinda ends just like that with no real climax, which sucks, what for those of us that listen to the Fragile from Left to Right,
wow.
Now this CD, much like Aenima from Tool, is an experience.

Nine Inch Nails know how to make an absolute killer instrumental.
yes, this is my absolute favorite instrumental. It's almost haunting to imagine what the lyrics would portray if they exsisted.

I listened to this song with my eyes closed at night, swear i thought i was going to go insane...
It always puts me to sleep when I lay in bed at night with my eyes closed.
Is that an insult sinister? Joking.

prematurely, my god, if i could go back sometimes, I tell ya.... wtf is permaturely? does that word exist?
