it's directions. There's an exit on I93 in boston that says LOGAN TO GOVERMENT CENTER thats what it is.

the train line from logan to government center is the blue line which gives the song title extra significance

i believe people are making good connections to this song. itried to find it out my self and got this: jesse is in a dead relationship with a girl from boston. it is mostly likely his fault that its dead, but he wants to breath life back into it, and he wants to make sure she is still willing.

I suck, I know I'm late, I know you waited" -he's sayng this is something they both know, its stupid, and is asking if she remembers him as someone she moved on from, or remembers him as someone she used to have fun with. he knows that he screwed the relationship up and that its a little late to be bringing it up

"You wouldn't get me on the phone And you couldn't make me not alone" -she didnt want to hold him down, but couldnt make him move on either

"My phone bills stacked up by my bedside, with your picture, you're looking surprised You're what makes New England so great My island nights are all spent dying Wait for summer to become wrought with lips, my wishful thinking" -he's remembering how great their relationship was, dreading the wait for summer so he could see her; but that summer it got screwed up

"Yeah you're a blue eyed lightning bolt (Yeah we can be) I'm a national phenomenon (You wouldn't get me on the phone) Nothing's absolutely definite 'til it's absolutely, definitely gone (definitely gone)" -he's saying they're both a bit crazy, and their realtionship never really had an 'end' so its not really over yet.

the title has already been explained and seems right. boston airport (logan) to government center being the way he got to her. also just a wierd thought, could blue eyed lightning bolt be describing the train that took him to her? the blue line from logan to government center? just a thought 0.o

So it seems to be about a long distance relationship...maybe they met one summer and she lives in Boston and he lives on Long Island. His phone bills are stacked up from calls he made to her, but she doesn't feel the same way about him. The title probably means that he flies (or wants to fly) up to Boston to see her and takes the T from Logan to her stop, Government Center.

the word "emo" should be banned, and it's definately without a doubt "great", not "pretty". And this is definately the best song off this CD in my opinion...though the whole CD is great.
