Sick Of Here

I told her I was tired,
She said I wasn't saying everything,
So I made a list of things that piss me off.
She read the list from bottom to top,
And in the middle she just stopped,
She said, "Where do I fit in?".
There's no nice way to say,
It's been a week of shitty days,
And I'm not about to take it out on you.
They're all taking bets on how long we'll last,
But they don't know what we've been through,
They don't know what we've been through.
"I'm so sick of here," she said,
"And I'd rather be somewhere instead.".
And I don't remember what she said from there.
"It's not as if you care," I said,
"But I'll leave here soon I swear." I said.
I never thought we ever got to be,
So sick of here.
Well, maybe, I was wrong,
Or maybe I just understood,
But I assumed it was you and me against the world.
"So can't we just lay here for awhile?",
"Pretend we're somewhere else?". She smiled,
"I'm just not getting through to you.".
"I'm so sick of here," she said,
"And I'd rather be somewhere instead.".
And I don't remember what she said from there.
"It's not as if you care," I said,
"But I'll leave here soon I swear." I said.
I never thought we ever got to be,

Isn't it amazing how this small town can get so old so fast?
Everyone falls into the same routine.
