In Soul Rebel, Bob talks about how he isn't a rebel without a cause. He's an adventurer; he lives his life how he wants to. "If you're not living good, travel wide," he says. If you're unhappy, then you need to change your life. Travel wide.
My favourite song with mr.Marley, ever. It never fails to make me forget about whatever is troubling me and just let go of everyday life for three minutes and twenty seconds... Pure reggae magic.

i think the title, soul rebel, means that he doesnt give in to people who try to tell him how to live, so he is a rebel, and overall i think its about living life in a way that you are content with, and if you aren't happy with life now you have to find yourself
This is also probably my favourite Marley song. It sums up exactly how I feel a lot of the time, and just eases the mind.
All of this mans music makes me think about life, people, people we love and such. Always and forever makes me think i relaly appreciate this mans music, God, Allah, Jah Bless
Great song, my fav Bob Marley one. A shame I can never find it on pub jukeboxes. I think people have summed it up nicely already. And I think we can all relate to the message of 'If you're not living good, travel wide, You gotta travel wide' at times. Sometimes you got to move on.
