How did this happen?
How did this happen?
Such a perfect day and unexplainable new feeling
How did this happen?
How did this happen?
Two contented shapes
Entwined under the trees
Nothing prepares you
And nothing prepares you
For such an endless dream
To pour itself on you
And the world swelled around us
And the world swelled around us
And there was brilliant light, but we were far more radiant
And it is in this light we are lost
The scent of summer in our hair
And laying on our bed of grass
With pleasure thick and sticking to the air (to the air)
Sticking to the air (to the air)
And in this light we are lost
The scent of summer in our hair (in our hair, in our hair)

i picture...conor, walking home after a wonderful date with a lover. actually content with his life for once. and he's singing to himself just plain happy. Kind of reminds me of the line from motion sickness where he mentions "how i ever got to you, i have no idea, its like some secret door, it just appeared" this song is absolutely amazing... if you havent heard it, find it.

During the summer, I go to Pioneer's Park on a weekly basis. Fun times. Bright Eyes reminds me of so many memories.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
