    General CommentI read on another site what slipknot's member Shawn crahan said the meaning of this song was. He said the meaning is "people are like an incurable disease that is destroying or world" or something similar to that.

    General CommentI'm not sure if other people have said this.

    But I think this song is about how people don't care about anybody else but themselves anymore. They won't even do something as simple as letting someone into to traffic because they have to get to where they need to go and that's the only thing that matters.

    And also I'm sick and tired of everybody thinking I'm fucked up because I say People = Shit.

The title of this song reminds me of Tyler Durten referring to his people as 'made up of the same decaying organic matter as the rest of the world.' An individual or group of individuals can be intelligent, insightful and contribute something worthwile to society however when you witness the idiocy, ignorance, intolerance and blind conformoty of a herd mentality, particularly a mob mentality, you realise what people as a whole really are.
