Not to state the obvious but everyone is correct. The song was written during Godsmacks tour for their self-titles album. On tour everyone felt horrible from being on the road so much and missing their family. Thus Sick of Life was simply Sully's way of expressing how he felt while being on tour for so long.
What's so hard about this? The guy is pissed of about his life and everything that is happening in it and no matter how bad he wants to stop hurting himself he's gonna do it again, and again, and again. Best song on the CD.

This song is really about the guy who is pissed. He hates his life and can't work out why he's always constantly being rejected.

You are all right in the sense that the song is about him being sick of everything, but there is more. I wrote a song like this, and when I heard this one, I saw the relation between mines and Sully's, I think they both have the same meaning. That meaning being that although you try to change, and try to be the person you want to be, you keep messing up and keep on doing it wrong and wrong and wrong, and sometimes you just feel sick of your self and sick of life, although I think life is a place of beauty waiting to be explored! :-)

I LOVE this song.... whenever I'm feeling down i put the "Godsmack - Awake" record on and just fill my ears with this wonderful song.
One of thier better songs... I can certainly relate, as can most people, I imagine.
