I suffer from social anxiety disorder and to me this song describes exactly how I feel in social situations and also how I see them after they have happend.

yeah this song definitely is about sexual abuse. "Silence is golden" is meant to be sarcastic. You're silence is golden maybe to the abuser but not to the abused.

This can apply to almost anyone who opens their mouth. Part is about hurting other people every time you talk, part is about being to scared to open up to people, part is about just trying to be safe from the world outside. Longing for someone to listen and understand, but not wanting to risk the shit that you have to go through to find that person.
