Lying there cold after a torturous death
Your life ended fast you took your last breath
Dead in a grave, your final place
The maggots infest your disfigured face
Pus through your veins takes the place of blood
Decay sets in, bones begin to crack
Thrown six feet down left to rot
Brains oozing black down the side of your broken neck

Skull full of maggots

They enter your tomb, maggots, beginning to feast, maggots
Crawling on you, maggots, now they eat you, maggots
Rotting maggots, maggots, infesting your corpse, maggots
Parasites of the dead, maggots, now dwell in your head

Lying there cold after a torturous death
Your life ended fast you took your last breath
Dead in a grave, your final place
The maggots infest your disfigured face
Pus through your veins takes the place of blood
Decay sets in, bones begin to crack
Thrown six feet down left to rot
Brains oozing black down the side of your broken neck

well that was just dumb to compare n'sync to this band. ok, you dont like them, but how about a different "band" to compare them too. you're fucking dumb. dont look up the lyrics if you dont like this kinda shit.

Yeah seriously there asshole why would look at lyrics to the song if you don't even like the band, and as for comparing them to Nsync...Are you gay or something, do you actually listen to Nsync? Jesus Christ. Maybe you should bad mouth Slipknot...and see how many teeth get knocked out of your fucking skull you poppy asshole.

DEFTONIUS:Slipknot fucking sucks shit. it's pop music for angsty suburban pre-teens who can't stay up past their bedtime. And what if BIG KEEN was gay? what would that matter? don't be so fucking ignorant. although he never mentioned homosexuality at all, and used 'n sync as the last band that sucked as hard as this one. which could be accurate, really.

NSYNC did actually have talent. I have a hotpink NSYNC shirt. Beat that? I do have sympathy for the members of Cannibal Corpse, I dont think that they would "sing" or scream that type of music, unless of a troubled past. God Bless every member (or satan, whatever they wish), and hope for a better, brighter second life.

Bolt_Thrower, learn to read. I never said that Cannibal Corpse ripped off decapitated and Lamb of God, I was just saying that both of those bands are better than Cannibal Corpse.

It figures that you wouldn't like Decapitated or Lamb of God, because they actually write intelligent lyrics.

"Have you seen the turn out cannibal corpse gets in there shows?" - What does that prove? Brittany Spears sells out huge arenas, by your logic that must make her music really good (I think we both know that it isn't).

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
