i think this song's about the aftermath of a relationship. It's about how hard it can be to try and maintain something while watching your ex move on, and thinking of what could have been done to change things. All buddy wants is a second chance, something good to hold on to, but he can't have it.
this is one of those sad sad cry cry songs and personally i love those songs and chris' vocals are great in this song

this song is so good and it tells a story! i love it, i dunno i dont usually liek to say i relate to songs but i really do to this one. Its a gooder and i dunno it just is so simply written but sums up an entire relationship [or lack thereof].

This is exactly me... Bah, I get teary-eyed whenever I hear that line. You know you're not "the one" for that person, but somehow you keep pushing on and hoping.
I love this song so much, I know this girl who can be a little bit of a flirt, so I really got to like her, even though she still had a boyfriend. They eventually took a break from eachother, I dated her and it was great, I really enjoyed it, but then her and her boyfriend got back together and used PDA constantly in front of me. This song was all that I could think of when I was watching them together. They pissed me off
