Very powerful song, good for breaking up. :D

To me it's about giving it all into a relationship, then finding out your "significant other" doesn't have the same feelings as you.

I think that the chorus goes:

Now you're stepping away from me One foot at a time Glad you're stepping away from me Hope it's the last time

At any rate, this song is extrememly powerful, especially where the backup says "Cold and lonely".
It seems that the singer (relative of Lajon of Sevendust) is in a relationship that really meant something to him, but it seems that his signifigant other doesn't have the same feelings. He trys to say that he's not alone anymore, but he knows that he's "Cold and lonely" on the inside... We try so much as humans to cover what we feel inside that we can even fool ourselves... But eventually, the cover fails and we're exposed... The singer knows this, and he knows that he's really "Cold and lonely"... At least that's what I get from this.

RavenGT, hate to break it to ya and stuff, but the lead singer of this band isnt relative to Lajon...Your thinking of Corey Lowery being related to Clint Lowery of Sevendust being brothers...So, dont post stuff unless you know what your talking about.
