When the clock strikes two
There's just so much to do
And I can't explain what I need
Jobs and social groups
Hearing the latest news
Keeping your reputation clean
And I don't want to worry
About being on time
I see the way you hurry
And time runs your life
Again
The difference between East and West
Money means so much less
And objects aren't so important to buy
I wish that a clock
Could often just be stopped
And then we look into the time
And I don't want to worry
About being on time
I see the way you hurry
And time runs your life
Again
There's just so much to do
And I can't explain what I need
Jobs and social groups
Hearing the latest news
Keeping your reputation clean
About being on time
I see the way you hurry
And time runs your life
Again
Money means so much less
And objects aren't so important to buy
Could often just be stopped
And then we look into the time
About being on time
I see the way you hurry
And time runs your life
Again

This song rocks... I LOVE IT... this is before blink turned "POP" and before they write nonsense and do-nothing lyrics.... damn they should just be the way they were before...
um...."before they wrote nonsense"?? They've always done a combination. Have you heard of the song "Depends"? Or "Just About Done" or "TV"....and they occasionally still write serious lyrics. Heard of STFTK? anthem part 2? Dont go shooting your mouth off without thinking. I agree they've gotten "poppier" but I HATE to categorize. They're still good, and I like them. Yes, I liked them before enema, but the guys have grown and it's ridiculous to expect the music to stay the same.
amen to phyxius... i totally agree!
I agree...americanbeautyan...you're a fucking moron. AND whats this before they turned POP? They're pop/punk you moron. Shit get it right. think before you speak little "stevey"
time might be one of my favorite blink songs of all time. this song just does alot for me and its gotten me through some tough times. anyway...
the main difference b/w old blink and new blink is simple. old blink (before enema) was pop-PUNK. new blink is POP-punk. they've never been a truely punk band, and never will be. but they used to have less of an emphasis on the pop aspect and more on the punk.
simple lyrics but very true. i like listening this in my car when i'm late.
and i love this line: "And I don't want to worry About being on time " to me, it's kind of equivalent to the line "I wish the real world, would just stop hassling me"
I like how the song starts out slow and goes through two phases before it ends up being fast. Sort of symbolizes the way time goes faster as you grow older.
Good song, and god..AmericanBeautyAN...you need to get a life, you're laughable almost. It's true the blinksters always had a pop element to them which has gradually become more obvious in their music, but as Phyxius said..Blink 182 have a mixture of serious and not so serious ones - and they're all good! 'damn they should just be the way they were before... ' statements like that almost sadden me, clueless child..
this is a brilliant song
and by the way i also think that blink was a lot better before the started taking themselves so seriously
I don't understand why they never re-did this song after Buddha, its such a good song, better than most on Chesire Cat, of course it's not like Carousel or Wasting Time, but it still is great.
