god... when he sings "laced with light, all divine" it sends shivers down my spine. his voice is so moving... even haunting sometimes. but it's SO AMAZING!!! elliott is such a great band. if there's one word i could use to describe their music, it's passionate. they don't fit into any category... their music is just so unique. this song is about people fighting for something that they believe in so deeply. I love it... i think it's the best off their new album with maybe the exception of Drive on to Me... but all the songs are so amazing i can hardly decide
This band is amazing and doesnt get the credit it deserves. There in a mood/league of there own. I find all of "False Cathedrals" (there best CD in my mind) to be great for putting in while driving by yourself, or with your gf/bf, at night down a highway. They have that kind of feeling. Great band, great CD.
beautiful beautiful song. this cd is the best of elliot. the first one's good too. but songs in the air (their latest) doesn't live up...
im going to agree + disagree with that comment. False Cathedrals is my favorite album by this wonderful band, but Song in the Air is AWFULLY close, the string section really sculpts Elliott's sound to something incredibly beautiful. the lyrics and structure arent really as good as false cathedrals though. its really hard to choose.
