As Long As You Love Me Lyrics
I'm leaving my life in your hands
People say I'm crazy and that I am blind
Risking it all in a glance
And how you got me blind is still a mystery
I can't get you out of my head
Don't care what is written in your history
As long as you're here with me
Chorus:
I don't care who you are
Where you're from
What you did
As long as you love me
Who you are
Where you're from
Don't care what you did
As long as you love me
Every little thing that you have said and done
Feels like it's deep within me
Doesn't really matter if you're on the run
It seems like we're meant to be
Chorus
Bridge:
I've tried to hide it so that no one knows
But I guess it shows
When you look into my eyes
What you did and where you are comin' from
I don't care, as long as you love me, baby.
Chorus
Who you are
Where you're from
Don't care what you did
As long as you love me
(repeat to fade)
So, there is this very lonely person (all the loneliness has always been a friend of mine), but he or she gets kidnapped by a fugitive (doesn't really matter if you're on the run). The fugitive repeatedly rapes this person. Ironically, this person enjoys the attention he or she previously lacked, and easily falls in love with his/her kidnapper (Stockholm syndrome), and at this point don't care who "they" are, where they're from, what they did... as long as they keep "making love" to him/her.
@nodonutnocop I was blown away by your otterly amazing interpretation.

Man.. Back in the day, I thought this song was so sweet, but now it just seems to me like the narrator is a little too desperate. I mean, he's literally saying he doesn't care who the person is, as long as they'll show him some love. sigh I guess it's still a great song, though. I miss Backstreet, heh.
sorry sloth, but i have to disagree. for years ive been defending this song against people who were saying the same things as you (that its desperate) until i finally got fed up and did some reseach on it. the second line of the song is "im leaving my life in your hands".. obviously he is talking to someone.. "i dont care what is written in your history" is basically the whole point of the song. lets say, hypothetically of course, that one of the bsb falls in love with a girl then finds out she used to rob banks or something... hes basically saying that he doesnt care about any of that... he loves her for who she is, not for what shes done or where she comes from and whats happened in her past. hes talking TO somebody, not any girl in general.
This song is a oldie but definately a goodie. Overall, This is probably my favorite BSB song
what are you talking about? backstreet boys are a bunch of queers... thats the interpretation...
This is all I have to say to all the TRUE BSB FANS: KTBSPA 4 EVER! KEVIN BRIAN HOWIE AJ NICK
This Is Such A Great Song. Brian and Kevin wrote it together. I wish they were singing about me, but too bad they are both married:(
the song that lured me into them. to me, it's a sort of message, saying no matter what u did wrong or what kinda of person you are, there's gonna be someone there that loves you.
I HATE THIS BAND!! THEIR SO GAY HAHAHA
If you think they're gay, well, you're probably have some problems sorting out your own gender as well.
