Maybe I disagree with them, in that faith is more important than science. Maybe we think it is important because we are raised that way. I can't see why science has failed our world, I personally think Science is what evolves our minds and understanding of the world, knowledge and communication is always a good thing in my oppinion. Faith is okay, people are allowed to believe in something no-one can prove or disprove, but most of the religions thru history is just ridiculous I think. I think religion has failed, some people blindly believe in something totally ridiculous, religion has been misused by man. But great song anyway.

Science has Failed wether u believe in god or not, with science we have create cities, cars and other great things, instead of evolving to adapt we change the world to suit us,destroying the natural order and stopping our own evolution.

Think of all the pain experiments have caused, not just to humans and animals, but to our whole world, all in the name of science. By seeking answers outwardly, science has only created more confusing questions that hold us back from experiencing simple truths from within. In spite of striving towards efficiency, science gets caught up in finding answers, no matter how much the mess will cost to clean up. B34R, I agree with you that religion has been misused by man, but that's because it tries to define an indefinable truth of spirit. I personally believe spirit to be the stillness that our brains, having been wired to perceive only movement (including "still" pictures, which emit lightwaves that move), cannot comprehend. Science asks the right questions but in the wrong way, while most religions try to answer unanswerable questions, hence the confusion throughout the world today and this amazing song

I think they are talking about morals and ethics. Science can give us many things... but at what cost? We whore our souls for science.

Science can give us many things including the idea that we don't need to buy into a religious or secular moral code. Many atheists like myself don't run around killing people and fornicating everywhere for the sheer fact of consequence.

Frankly I cannot see how people can say science has failed our world. If it wasn't for science the world would be nothing like how it is today, there would be so much more suffering from various diseases that we take for granted that we can cure. All the nonsense about truths from within, still pictures emitting lightwaves (?) is just that, nonsense. Such an ignorant song, what exactly is faith anyway? Blind belief in something even if all evidence points to it being wrong? Sounds absurd really

Allow a response in kind: Because your imagination is so limited as to cripple your ability to apprehend anything that cannot be measured in a laboratory, you have unsurprisingly missed the genius of this song. You probably miss anything not directly in front of your face. This song is about you and people like you. You have enduring faith in your own unprovable "reality," yet refuse to accept that your POV is from the same boat as the rest of us "ignoramuses"; that you are sullied with faith at all. Superior? Because you are incapable of believing in the irrational? Peripheral blindness is a more accurate description. "Non-evidence-based thinking"? Convenient when you can decide what qualifies as evidence and what cannot even be discussed, since your ego will not suffer anything to exist in your tiny little cosmos that you cannot reverse engineer.
