if you get past the stupid drunk exterior there's the hidden meaning that so many of STD fans who only like the gruesome lyrics just don't get, this is easily the best song they do. It's more than drunken sex. It's more than "I said i'd walk you home." The meaning of this song isn't even that hard to get, just listen to the end of it. "to me you are the light from a light bulb breaks sometimes and the tender warmth inside is released into my life" . . . even sober this is an amazing song. So screw that drunk stuff because this song is so much more

I agree with Bassistboy04 that this song may not be about drunken love but perhaps he walked a girl home and they finally confessed their feelings to each other. They're "drunk" on their love for each other which just totally fills them up and consumes them. This new found knowledge gives them energy, keeps them up and makes them go running wild and crazy in the streets at night because they are so happy. And making love, is so powerful and beautiful that it's like lightning. Damn, that light bulb metaphore is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard!

This song explains how guys feel like exactly. Or at least me. The mood strikes you at any time, and all you can think about and want is sex. You want it now. It even more exciting when it in public. Before sex, he tells her what in his head, that he wants it, then after sex he tells her whats in his head, that she is the most beautiful thing ever. Lyrics don't mean everything in the song, the other band members have feelings too. The music clearly changes mood, after sex. Nothing is more beautiful to me then the naked body of a women. sigh

Sure this song involves sex and drunk people...but it's definetly about the fact that he is trying to explain the girl that even though they maybe having sex just cause they are drunk, she's everything to him and in his heads all this feelings are raging while they are doing it....and he just have to let her know......it's an awesome song....I just fuckin' love it, and defenitley STD aren't sxe..... xxx

Best Saves The Day song :) The song is about a guy and girl getting completely wasted and the guy finally tells the girl how he feels because he is to much of a coward to do it when he is sober, also knowing he woudlnt' have to take responsibility for his actions later on. This song has a special meaning to me. It was sent ot my by a "friend" He told me it explained how he felt and when I heard it to think of him... As the smoke reaches the sky, know I'll burn for you tonight." A couple weeks after this song was sent to me i went to a party with him. He acted like he was drunk although everyone knew he wasn't... we ended up making out. We both knew we liked eachother but there was an age difference complication... everything fell into place just the way it did in the song and then the next day he claimed to only have slight memories of what happened... and played the whole "drunk" card... even though we all knew he wasn't... coincidence? planned? or a little bit of both?

I think this song is about being passionate in every way..I mean "legs to beat the ground, and our hearts to beat the band" it's so inspiring.. makes you wanna push harder.. but still though there's something wrong with that relationship, cause he's out of his mind.. And maybe what he can't confess it's that she doesn't love her.. and that there's someone else on his head.. And the only thing that he feels about her it's sex.. anyway it gets me everytime i hear it

I just love the way chris writes his songs i mean yea this song is about well being drunk but the way he puts it just makes it seem so beautiful... i know it sounds crazy but if you listen to other Saves The Day songs you will see that chris writes like that in just about all his songs
