Winter Kiss Lyrics

Lobby lines with stairs
Rebuke the structure
A kiss on the hand
Fades to God's will
I would kill to see your face
Lady in red watch your surroundings
I’m going out on a limb
I would kill to see your face
Three weeks of torture brought me here
Pass the moons / reject friendly envy
More on desire than principal
I wish you here...

Overall great song, music and lyrics blend well together. Tells about how this person would do anything to be with God (persumably) or a love.

I think this song is about longing for a lover's presence.

When i first heard this song i noticed a lot of good things about it. The singing blended very well and the music seemed to suit the lyrics. I believe the song shows the desire to see God and the things he has or would go thru to do it.

do i hear an echo?

I've seen this song as more a smack against the religion of christianity... (rebuke the structure) other lines, such as his reference to a kiss on the hand (symbolic of royalty or at least upper class) fading to God's will... and yet he would do anything to actually see God's face. More on desire than principal. and he wishes others would drop the religious rhetoric and actually have a relationship where they can see God- not just as a figure, but alive and active in their lives.

well if im not mistaken, embodyment is a christian band so I don't think its much of a "smack" on that note, why does every damn song have to be about god?

doom: you can be a christian and "smack" the religious structure that claims to govern your beliefs. in fact, i encourage it.

Lets not confuse religion and a realtionship with Jesus, clearly two different issues, but Embodyment was/ is? on a christian oreinted label, play at christian music concerts/festivals and talk about God...i'm not saying that makes them a Christian, but i think it definetely implies something....some sarcasm intended..but about this song.... Its one of my old favorties, i like the guitar effects in this one, very nice intro...but, i still haven't decided if the Lady in Red is suppose to be a person or an idea (of a person)...at this point, 2 years later, i am almost to the point of not caring which it is but it is trite arguement that rumbles in my mind occasionally, would anyone have any input into this idea?

btw, sounds like a christian opinion estocopath has, atleast to me...suggesting the tradition of church is killing the church, i would have to agree, but i don't think this song is about that really..but, who knows.
