this song is everything that's good about punk. the ability to write a typical love song in a completely creative and untypical way...it's freaking great. gotta love the ataris.
its about a guy who is inlove with one girl and would do anything for her. he wants her more then any other and is planning to spend the rest of his life with her, if only he could have her. sounds like my life...except im a girl...

Kris wrote this song when he was on a plane just to pass the time, because he hates flying (hence, "the lights below, they spell out your name")
This is one of my favorite songs by The Ataris, it has a special meaning to me my ex-boyfriend wrote the lyrics of this song and sent it to me. I loved the song before too, and loved it even more. But now, when I listen to it, it reminds me of him and how much i miss him. The song, holds a great meaning to it though, and can be taken in different ways at when and how you are feeling when listening to it. It holds a memory or a feeling to everyone.
I love this song..definitely my favorite Ataris song..only one that comes close to this one for me is "Life Makes No Sense". This means to much to me because this is exactly how I feel about my girlfriend. I talk to her about it and send it to her in e-mails about once every week or so, since she lives so far away. Then when I do get to spend time with her, I always sing it to her. It's just a great love song that has it's own unique sound and style. The Ataris are definitely one of my favorite bands:)
