wat do u meen someone most people 4got about years ago...cyndi lauper is still as awesome as she ever was..i just saw her in concert a few months ago and no im not sum middle-aged die-hard cyndi lauper fan but if u see her in concert she is a great singer ...anyway i dont like weird al's parody ive heard funnier but girls just wanna have fun i noe it gets annoyin but its still a fun and catchy song ..anyway i really do hate wen people get on this website and cause trouble bein all defensive so that isnt my intent...its jus my opinion.. cyndi lauper kicks ass always n forever =P
Cyndi Lauper is extremely talented, and extremely talented people don't dim just because they age. She can still put many to shame! If anyone would appreciate Weird Al, it's Lauper. She was unique for her time (when she was climbing the musical ladder) and her strength and determination is what helped to push her talent to the top.

The music execs wanted Al to parody this song because it was popular, and he didn't want to. Therefore, he intentionally made it as lame as he possibly could. The story makes it retroactively hilarious.

I love Weird Al but this is the worst song I have ever heard in my entire life. It bugs me to death. Even Weird Al doesn't like it.
