for me the song means the same as it has been mentionend in the mlast two comments...
maybe the relationship has to end because the timing isn't right and you tell yourself:"Oh, it wouldn't work anyway and I have to get over it." but deep inside you know that when you see that special person again, you will feel the same and that tears you apart.
in my special occasion it's about not living in the same city and supposably we never will...but maybe someday comes again...
Naturally when you think about what has been said that all bloodflowers songs were of the state of the band..this song could be self-explanitory..however..It can also be about a relationship that one desperatly tries to get away from but something keeps pulling them back.
this song is essentially the same song as vibrolush - special... both songs are strikingly similar, and i can't help but think that robert smith stole one from the guys from vibrolush (special was released in 1995) , give both songs a listen and tell me what you think.

this song is so for the one who just cant let go of a realtionship no matter how hard they try... but for me this song kinda helps me get through moving. im from ny and moving to az in july and its just killing me. i cant deal. "No i won't do it some more It doesn't make any sense If it can't be like it was I've got to let it rest" that lyric makes me think of how i just need to let go of here and move on becuase i have no choice in not moving so... yea this is a really great song.. kick ass
i love his voice, it's longing, he wants this relationship like it was, but he knows that it can't easily go back. Maybe he or his partner did something, or they just grew apart.
