So you wanted
To take a break
Slow it down some and
Have some space
Well fuck you too
Give me my money back
Give me my money back
You bitch
I want my money back
(And don't forget to give
Me back my black T-Shirt)
Wish I hadn't bought you dinner
Right before you dumped me
On your front porch
Give me my money back
Give me my money back
You bitch
I want my money back
And don't forget
And don't forget
This song is absolutely hysterical. It seems so petty and angry and yet, isn't that how we feel when we're dumped?
I love the part where he says.. "and don't forget to give me back my black T-shirt".
I thought I heard Ben say he took this girl out to Taco Bell before she dumped him, hence the "wish I hadn't bought you dinner right before you dumped me." I could be wrong though, but it adds more humor to the song! Also, Ben said since this song is a "sad song" it should've been written in a minor key instead of major- hearing his "new" version of it in a minor key is hilarious- go see him in concert. :-)
This song is great, because everybody can relate to it! After you get dumped, don't we all wish we could take back all the good things we've done for the person?!?
