Guerrilla Radio Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Transmission, third World War, third round
A decade of the weapon of sound above ground
No shelter if you're looking for shade
I lick shots at the brutal charade
As the polls close like a casket
On truth devoured, silent play on the shadow of power
A spectacle, monopolized
The camera's eyes on choice disguised
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?
Yes a spectacle, monopolized
They hold the reins, stole your eyes
All the Fistagons, the bullets and bombs
Who stuff the banks, who staff the party ranks
More for Gore or the son of a drug lord
None of the above, fuck it, cut the cord
[Chorus]
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
Lights out, guerrilla radio
[Verse 2]
Contact, I hijacked the frequencies
Blockin' the beltway, move on DC
Way past the days of bombin' MCs
Sound off, Mumia, guan, be free
Who got 'em? Yo, check the federal file
All you pen devils know the trial was vile
Army of pigs try to silence my style
Off 'em all out the box, it's my radio dial
[Chorus]
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
Lights out, guerrilla radio
Turn that shit up
[Bridge]
It has to start somewhere
It has to start sometime
What better place than here?
What better time than now?
[Outro]
All hell can't stop us now
All hell can't stop us now
All hell can't stop us now
All hell can't stop us now
All hell can't stop us now

it's actually a shame we don't have more bands out there like Rage Against the Machine to speak up against what society deems worthy of a "good nation" ...all the while The Individual is trapped in a conformist world with the mentality that one person is incapable of changing the world. All i have to say is, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito. Rage Against the Machine made a difference by saying "we may not be totally right, but we won't stand for what we think is wrong." Fight the Man, take the power back. Peace
just wait, in four years green day will release album called "american idiot"

5) "March Of Conscience" against sweatshop labor (Morello Arrested)
6) Zack de la Rocha before a full session of the International Commission of Human Rights of the United Nations on the case of Abu-Jamal
7) Timmy C, Brad Wilk and Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine participate in the protest against the Free Trade Area of the Americas
there are many more thing they have done...
but I think I've made my point
its about a hijacking of sorts, of the radio airwaves as a medium for revolution, activism and protest. also contains some parts concerning mumia
I think Rage was an awsome band. They really have made many people aware of problems and issues that affect our government today. As for what they have done other than speak out about the issues is actually participate. Two people come to mind...Leonard Peltier, and Mumia Abu-Jamal. Rage has held benefits to help free them, as they were unfairly placed in jail. Rage has recognized this and has tried to do something about it. They've done many other things to...by listening to their music and learning what their lyrics mean, I have become interested in taking action, and I am sure they have had the same affect on many other people.

Rage Lives On
Simple, yet sad how you confuse it all. Thinking your extensive vocabulary brings more power to your words when all you do is speak the same bullshit. There messege is real. Its about zapatistas and how they are treated. Only in that way do they say fuck the gov.. So fuck off you assholes, your blotting up the site.
Nothing face youre a fucking retard rages songs do not sound all the same they arent limp dick if you dont like the way tom plays thats fine but saying the songs all sound the same is very insulting and is just an oppinion its idiocy
Internet tough guy alert. I sense major fail in this sector.
First off, not many punk bands talk about political issues, you have a delusioned sense of the punk music scene. And what are you talking about with rage being failry good musicians? They are some of the most intelligent and creative musicians out there. And sick of that fucking distorted crap? Plz, Tom Morrelo is one of the most innovative guitarists out there.
'Fuck authority.' What an original premise. Your friends must be really bright fellas.
it's funny how when he said many bands speak out about political issues and he could only name a couple, and they're the ones mtv is practically spoon feeding to us..
