in the middle of the song it sounds like theres a backwards message...is there?

Yes darciemae, there is a backwards message in the middle of the song. I used to know what it was... It's something like "Scott gives me a big boner" or something to that effect... again, I forget the exact words.

Really like this song, though.

He sounds so much like the singer from Calibretto. It fits well though, I like it. :)

Great song!

The song, to me, is him talking to a girl who hurt him somehow. The noisy parts are what is going on inside his head, and the chorus is what he's saying to the girl, trying to play it off as if he doesn't care.

That's my interpretation, anyways.

I feel the song is about a guy who was hurt by a girl in a relationship that failed, and in his head there is just all this sadness and indescribable rage going on (as you hear in the verses and bridge), but in the chorus it gets calm, as if that's him talking to the girl (like DarthFly0 mentioned). He's kidding himself, he's so angry and hurt but in front of people and to the person who hurt him he wants to make it look like things are going good for him.
