Do You Dream Of Me? Lyrics
Come down, slowly
I'm waiting by your side
Come down, carefully
I'm waiting by your side
I'll grab you when you fall
Down to the waking hours
Silents sweeps as golden corn
Down to the waking hours
How I wish that I could
Break into your dreams
Do I have the force I need
To break into your dreams
I hold you in my arms
Dimmed by scarlet morning red
I whisper in your ear
"Do you dream of me?"
I'm waiting by your side
Come down, carefully
I'm waiting by your side
Down to the waking hours
Silents sweeps as golden corn
Down to the waking hours
Break into your dreams
Do I have the force I need
To break into your dreams
Dimmed by scarlet morning red
I whisper in your ear
"Do you dream of me?"

In my interpretation, the lyrics are from a knight carrying the corpse of his lady. The melody has a very medieval feeling to it,like a western castle in heavy snow. The knight promised to protect his lady with all his heart but he ultimately failed. Now he whispers to her cold body if she's forgiven/still dreaming about him in the next world.
@Roten Interesting, I always thought it's the other way around - the knight has died and he a ghost (angel) following his mistress, trying to protect her and connect with her.

It's haunting. Kind of in a stalker-esque sort of way. Just the word "force". But other than that, it's not a side I can't relate to.
This song sounds like a Dali painting (weird connexion, I know, but it's the exact atmosphere I go to when I hear it). It's delirious. The perfect rhythm and the cold metallic sound tug at something in your unconscious. It tastes a bit like that feeling you get when you're not 100% asleep but still you start dreaming.

Genius song.
Genius song.
It's got an other worldly sound to it. It's much more than just a song about lust. It goes deeper than that but I can't be arsed to explain
I honestly can't pin it down. Lateralus, if you read this, could you possibly go into depth about it?
