Be Like Me Lyrics
I hear you speaking loud and clear but I still can't understand
I think I'd rather kill myself than meet your demands
I never needed a reason to reason with my mind
I can see the future and today is a good day to die
I need new enemies
I need new strategies
I need the pain to feel someting
I need to shed some skin
To be like me again
A brand new me
I read the writing on the wall but the message is all wrong
I got the world inside my head and it's ticking like a bomb
I never needed justice to justify myself
I can see the future and it looks a lot like hell
Flip the switch
Pull the plug
Fell inside the hole I dug
Walk the walk
Crash and burn
Another stone I have to turn
I think I'd rather kill myself than meet your demands
I never needed a reason to reason with my mind
I can see the future and today is a good day to die
I need new strategies
I need the pain to feel someting
I need to shed some skin
To be like me again
A brand new me
I got the world inside my head and it's ticking like a bomb
I never needed justice to justify myself
I can see the future and it looks a lot like hell
Pull the plug
Fell inside the hole I dug
Walk the walk
Crash and burn
Another stone I have to turn

to me this song is talking about someone who needs to reason with themselves, come to terms with something they have done or something that happened to them, they keep talking about how the future looks bad so they may be suicidal "today is a good day to die" "..and it looks a lot like hell" whatever it means, its a fucking awsome song, i love it. like all of KMDF's songs it is addicting and thrilling.
"I need the pain to feel something" is one line that often repeats in my head no matter where I am or what other music may be playing at the time. I'll be the first to admit I am fucked in the head, and this song is just one of those bridges back to normalcy, to maybe better explain what's happening in my head to people that may never see inside my head. that's my two cents.
no, no, no. timmah's trying to tell you to be like him
I love this song. all their songs including KMFDM's remind me of my views on school and life i dont know why. They're both freakishly good bands.
