You're probably sick of being tired
You can't find the strength to close your eyes
You can't let go,
But you can't change everything
Stop laying in this burning bed

Write it on the walls and read it
Bright red so you can see it
Don't fail me now
Write it on the walls and read it
Until there are no secrets
So safe and sound
At least for now

Time's gonna warn you with a whisper
What it wants to let you know
You can't live in fear of the things that aren't for sure
So stay alive by playing dead

Write it on the walls and read it
Bright red so you can see it
Don't fail me now
Write it on the walls and read it
Until there are no secrets
So safe and sound

Still there are lines for us to write before we close our eyes
And only time will tell the ending when the ink runs dry
Time will tell everything,
It's ever so quiet counting down

Write it on the walls and read it
Blood red so you can see it
Life leaking out
Write it on the walls and read it
Until there are no secrets
So safe and sound
At least for now
At least for now

Like this song a lot too.. It was in the SSX3 videogame and I always listen to it when I go snowboarding..

ABout the meaning I agree with most of you up there.. Life goes on.. instead of just letting things happen you have to make decisions, even hard ones..

You can compare it with snowboarding in fact.. haha.. everything jsut goes so fast but you still have to make those decisions, where to go..

anywho, great song, I realla wanna see them live =)

[That's why I write it down, left it there with the blood out of my hands to stare at and it drops right down It dried and I turned around and the blood was a small price to pay it made it real it made it real because I write it down, left it there with the blood on my hands to stare at and it drops right down It dried and I turned around the and the blood was a small price to pay it made it real it made it real…]

I saw these guys at a show at the glass house last night, and they were the second best band there next to finch. When they played this song it kicked ass, the crowd went wild, these guys rock.

I think that basically, this song is saying that we all have to make decisions in life, even tough ones, where we aren't sure if we are making the right one or not. The song says that we will never be able to see what would have happened had we chosen a different path, and we need to accept that as a fact of life. I think the title, "Clockwork" is saying that life is like clockwork, where the gears turn with a set motion, and we cannot change that, referring to the fact that we can't go back and see all the "Might haves" and "Could have beens". This song is great also.

I think it's saying take chances... don't be afraid of the choices you make... and don't live in fear of "what might happen" if we don't take the chance we will never know... and time will eventually explain everything when it's all said and done..

short and sweet -take chances and don't regret the past-

Oh yeah and the lyrics up there are incomplete, these are the correct ones, unsure about the part in brackets.. it's really low so its difficult to hear..

You're probably sick of being tired You can't find the strength to close your eyes You can't let go But you can't change everything Stop laying in this burning bed

Write it on the walls and read it Bright red so you can see it Don't fail me now Write it on the walls and read it Until there are no secrets So safe and sound At least for now

Time's gonna warn you with a whisper What it wants to let you know You can't live in fear of the things that aren't for sure So stay alive by playing dead

Write it on the walls and read it Bright red so you can see it Don't fail me now Write it on the walls and read it Until there are no secrets So safe and sound

Still there are lines for us to write before we close our eyes And only time will tell the ending when the ink runs dry Time will tell everything It's ever so quiet counting down

( that's why I write it down, left it there with the blood out of my hands to stare at and it drops right down It dried and I turned around and the blood was a small price to pay it made it real it made it real...

because I write it down, left it there with the blood on my hands to stare at and it drops right down It dried and I turned around the and the blood was a small price to pay it made it real it made it real... )

Write it on the walls and read it Blood red so you can see it Life leaking out Write it on the walls and read it Until there are no secrets So safe and sound At least for now At least for now

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
