Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?
I didn't mean to call you that
I can't remember what was said or what you threw at me
Please tell me, please tell me why

Chorus
My car is in the front yard
And I'm sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night and you're gone...gone

It's no surprise to me I am my own worst enemy
'Cause every now and then I kick the living shit out of me
The smoke alarm is going off, and there's a cigarette
Still burning, please tell me why

Chorus

Please tell me why

Chorus

It's no surprise to me I am my own worst enemy
[Ahhh-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo]
'Cause every now and then I kick the living shit out of me
[Ahhh-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo]
Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?
[Ahhh-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo]
I didn't mean to call you that
[Ahhh-oooooooooooooooooooooooo]

General CommentThis song is my personal theme song, corny as it sounds. It just reminds me of all the stupid mistakes I've made throughout my life. It makes me all nostalgic and puts a smile on my face :) ::wipes a tear from her eye::

General CommentYeah, it's possible. He could just be talking to himself for all we know...but he does use "you," so maybe he is talking to his girlfriend? I dunno. This song is awesome, but it seems like it should be longer. I know what you mean.

General CommentI agree with what seems to be the general opinion on this song. The upbeat tempo can give the feel that this song is lighthearted, but it has a deeper, more serious meaning. This is not the first time something like that has happened because "it's no surprise." The song could, I guess, be directed towards anyone in his life who was affected by his actions, though it feels like it's to a girlfriend. He doesn't yet have a huge problem, just "every now and then."

General Commentthis reminds me of when i have gotten wasted and made a complete ass of myself, and how i've hurt myself and freinds, and how at the time of being wasted you just think, in the morning at least i'll have an excuse, but no, in the morning you still responsible for your actions. i like this song, but its too short, and it needs more lyrics or just more instumental, but what do i know, i'm not an artist, this is way harder than just putting some extra lyrics into a song.

General CommentHe's not necessarily talking to a girlfriend in this song...he could be talking to a male roommate. right?
