Revolution Is My Name Lyrics
68' I was into the world, born
And the seventies were a breath after the war (Vetnam)
Life was confusing because of my age
Should my eyes open for tomorrows gains
I can't help the way I am
There's no trust and there's no end
What is my name
(chorus) It's time for a change
It can't stay the same
Forever is my name
From now on I can't look the other way
But keep in mind, and listen to what I say
Take underwing all the ones who are lost
And build up around them an infinite wall
Don't you know just who I am
Take the hand of the wisdoms friend
What is my name
(chorus) It will never change
So here it stays
Revolution is my name
It's time to change, It can't stay the same
Forever is my name
What is my name, Forever
What is my name, Revolution
(chorus)
And the seventies were a breath after the war (Vetnam)
Life was confusing because of my age
Should my eyes open for tomorrows gains
I can't help the way I am
There's no trust and there's no end
What is my name

Forever is my name
But keep in mind, and listen to what I say
Take underwing all the ones who are lost
And build up around them an infinite wall

What is my name, Revolution

It's music!, or to be more specific: heavy metal music speaking. 68!🔥... Phil age and yearborn are just coincidence and I bet he likes that, but take a minute and do this: Take the perspective of heavy metal speaking to you through these lyrics and if you are a die hard heavy metal fan, I bet you'll just get the whole point. Thank you Dime, Vinnie, Phil and Rex😎🍻for letting out this brutal and beautiful piece of art.👹🤘🏻
this song is so good, i've got no words for it to descripe the feelings i get when i hear it
I know dude, I feel your tears, lol "68..." just the way he says that shit, tells me I would lose in a fight to Phil Anselmo, I think...
This is such an awsome tune. This song got me into Pantera
i think phils talking about his life and saying that hes awesome because he worked to get where he is and that no one has the right to take it away from him, and that if you dont like him, fuck you
this is the first Pantera song i have ever heard, at first i was like no way this stuff is no good but then i heard "Dimebag" Darrells guitar playing THEN I WAS HOOKED! wow what an awesome song and an awesome band as well! not sure the true meaning but im sure it has some meaning to the bands hard times.
this one is really hard to interpret, but i think Cooljgb's interpretation makes pretty good sense. especiallly the "if you dont like him, fuck you" part, cuz phil is tha baddest muthafucker alive.
I think this song is about the will to be like you want to be, refusing to change just because time keeps passing and people says you should change yourself. A "fuck you" to people who want Phil to change.
This is song is actually a poem written by some poet I don't remember his name.
whooooooooo 'nuff sed yet agen
