It's storming broken glass, corpses left in piles
Ungracious bludgeonmnet that breaks the earth for miles
Nothing can stop it, the day has come, from below it's catastrophic
Freezing
There's no healing
Families are dying
This world is shattered
All shattered
Life crushing turbulence, this wrath can't be denied
Wishing you could help your friends, standing where they died
Echoes haunting, a hollow planet, lacerations, dissected nation
Freezing
There's no healing
Everyone's dying
This world is shattered
All shattered
Freezing
There's no healing
Everyone's dying
This world is shattered
All shattered
All shattered
All shattered
Ungracious bludgeonmnet that breaks the earth for miles
Nothing can stop it, the day has come, from below it's catastrophic
There's no healing
Families are dying
All shattered
Wishing you could help your friends, standing where they died
Echoes haunting, a hollow planet, lacerations, dissected nation
There's no healing
Everyone's dying
All shattered
There's no healing
Everyone's dying
All shattered
All shattered
All shattered

I think it's just about fictional destruction, apocalypse, not any metaphor or real war. Gotta love the solo, though, it's amazing.
This song means pantera has just overcome the hair metal stage, and are putting it behind them. Notice the hair metal riffs, and high pitched screaming. still a good song though.
Is it just me or does this song (shattered) kind of sound like "Through the Never" by Metallica?
no it does not sound like "trough the never"..at least not in my ears..i don
t really kknow what the song is about, i think it might be about the holocaust that ocurred during world war 2. but of course it can be fictional also..i dont know..Something to do with war or terrorist attacks. "There's no healing, everyone's dying" kinda gives me the impression that it's written about some sort of devastation.
Does this song remind anyone else of judas priest?
yep, Phil's singing in this song is a lot like Rob Halford's singing. probably 'cause Judas Priest is one of his biggest influences.
I would like to see Phil try to the high parts in this song now
I think it's about nuclear war. "It's storming broken glass" atom bomb's shock wave causing glasses to shatter. "Freezing, there's no healing" nuclear winter "Life crushing turbulence" the turbulence in the forming of the mushroom cloud
