You got the lyrics wrong. It's "If there's nothing to have, well then there's nothing to GIVE" and it's not "Pro devoted sledge," it's "Pro devoted PLEDGE."

Yep, snoopy007 is right, according to the Cowboys From Hell album those lyrics are wrong... But yeah, it's a great song!

It's a song about unity, man. Read the lyrics again and think about it. Phil himself says that on the Vulgar Video when they play it at Moscow.
These lyrics need to be altered. It "Pro Devoted Pledge" not Sledge.
