I have always taken it as Pantera's way of saying, "We are out and we can kick your ass because we rock!" A lot of Pantera's songs seem to have this attitude...

It is just about them. Pantera's whole image was of a drink fuelled southern fried party machine from the south.

Yeah, this does sound like a theme song for Pantera. This song is basically about being badass cowboys from hell.

I read the interview (which ALL of you should read apparently ) and they said it was about them being from Texas and no one thinking to associate texas with metal, so in a sense they're... well, cow-... i dunno, that's just what they said.
