Alive Again Lyrics
That tomorrow the sun would shine
Then one day you came into my life
I am alive again I am alive again
Now that you have filled my life with love
No one else could ever mean so much to me
Every day my high lasts longer
As our love grows ever stronger
That tomorrow the sun would shine
Then one day you came into my life
I am alive again I am alive again
Dreams that once seemd hopeless come with ease
Thank you girl for being just the way you are
I would never try to change you
All I live for is to love you
I'm feeling alive again
I'm feeling alive again
One of Chicago's hardest rockin' songs (not that it is hard by any means) It's cool to hear Peter Cetera rock!
This was the first single recorded after the accidental death of Terry Kath in 1978. It's off their 12th album Hot Streets. It's rock song with a bit of disco flavor in it, signaling the beginning of a new era for the band. As "abinlp" said previously, there were many people who thought that Chicago should have quit after Terry's death, and that the soul had died with Terry. I do agree that Terry Kath was irreplaceable for the band. But I think they did right by continuing on, what they did was they changed their style to a more Adult Contemporary sound rather than try and replace Terry Kath's soulful voice and elite guitar skill.
A song of Hope (especially) if you have recovered from a loss (or anything else negative) in life for that matter. Just another opinion, "another country heard from" and another lost soul, "alive again". Love, A.L.
Have heard it said this is also symbolic of rising up from the tragedy of Terry Kath's death and moving forward. They wondered if they should disband with Terry gone. Have heard some people say they should have, I don't agree.
This song is a subtle tribute to Terry Kath, being the first track on the first album after his death.
when terry kath shoy himself, not only did he die, but chicago died. He was the heary and soul of chicago. after his death it was just plain rubbish. One of the best soulfil singers and guitarist in the world. its always the thinking ,caring artist that is taken away.harrison, lennon, morrison, kath. and yet mccartney and ceteria lived to put out stupid mean nothing songs
This song used to play with Golden State Warriors commercials, so I think of them when I hear this song.
