It Takes All Kinds Lyrics
you walked right in
wearing hubris like a medal
you revel in
but it's me at whom you'll level
your javelin
Throwing your weight around the sun
happier now that you've become
what you hated
had half a chance
I was just one in a million
of also-rans
who was sure to be your victim
of circumstance
selling the soul you swore upon
spreading the word that you've become
what you hated
well, I guess it takes all kinds
of you intact--
when we'd hang around and listen
to Bacharach
and you loved the world you lived in
and it loved you back
now you look out for number one
who would've guessed that you'd become
what you hated
what an awesome song... and the voices of the background... it's great to hear it...
This song just reminds me of Patsy Cline...the music is amazing.
As for the words, this reminds me of the arrogant way one of my closest friends acts...it seems like the person she's talking about used to be a friend and she thought that he could get past his hubris. However, he became proud of it and is a jerk...she's surprised at herself for even thinking he could change.
