Black Again Lyrics
When you're fed up and lonely
And nothing else seems to matter really
I'll be here waiting for the
Black cloud to leave you
I'll be here to hold your hand
When you're tired and lonely
Hold your breath underwater
And know you'll rise to the
Surface slowly
Think of me as a ship that might hold you
Carry you to the shore
When you're tired and lonely
She can't eat
She can't sleep
She's not well (she's lonely again)
She can't breathe
She's in bed
She's in hell
But she'll never
Really be alone
As long as I'm beside her
And nothing else seems to matter really
Black cloud to leave you
I'll be here to hold your hand
When you're tired and lonely
And know you'll rise to the
Surface slowly
When you're tired and lonely
She can't sleep
She's not well (she's lonely again)
She can't breathe
She's in bed
She's in hell
Really be alone
As long as I'm beside her

this song is like my third favorite STP song... i just love the entire Shangri la dee da album.... you think your hearing like just some poppy-like song but its really like this super dysfunctional song with heroin references and overall the album is just ear candy... shangri la dee da is their best fucking album period
... Oh, amazing! This is arguably my favorite song by our darling Stone Temple Pilots. The words are romantic, yet they make your heart feel rather heavy.
Probably my favorite song on Shangrr-La Dee Da.
It's gotta be about Mary, and how Scott reached out to her in the midst of all of her personal problems.
Like Scott, she was bipolar and addicted to drugs and alcohol.
one of STP's poppiest for sure
this song has some dark undertones if you really read into it... def about scotts ex wife mary drug problem and him trying to confort her
i love this song but i probaly would have been pissed at STP if they had released this as a single
great song from a great album... its a shame after shangri la dee da scott went into his worst heroin frenzy and broke up the band
its about reaching out to someone when their having serious problems
not many STP songs are like this... but the few that are are also on shangri la dee da
love this song... its about trying to be there for your girlfriend even though she is extremely self destructive
