My boyfriend and I have recently broken up basically because he liked another girl...yet he loved me, which I don't get, but OK....but this song is really emotional. The guy got stuck witht he whole "Dont know what ya got til its gone..." and hes having a hard time.

My boyfriend met me in 1988 and I stayed with him a long time, gave him a son, but in 1997 he always thought of himself doin me a favor by bein around, nit noticing me too much, in 2003 , I got tired of waiting, and ran into someone elses arms, but that was a mistake for me, at 2003 Christmas he was starting to realize, things were alla mistake, and when in 2006 , I was in a coma and he almost lost me...

He came to his senses in 2008 when he married me!! Now, hes just the opposite of how he was!! It took from 1988 to 2008 to get to2008!! This song explains my whole love life story...
