    Maybe this song can be about any woman - but for me it reminds me of one woman. Imrana (she won't mind me using her name) was someone I knew. She suffered from manic depression. Always going to extremes. She suffered a lot, but you couldn't say she wasn't alive. Her life was sometimes wilfully chaotic, but she really needed someone's love - well I guess we all do. She could really act like a bitch, and some people that was all they could see of her. Just when you thought you had a handle on her, everything'd be turned upside down, and you hadn't even noticed the season was already changing. If you're out there Imrana, take care.

    Underneath, this song is speaking about an independent woman, who knows who she is and what she wants. All too often, "independent" has negative con notations but what does it mean, really? Here's a woman who will nourish and care and love, and yet she's ready to fight and argue and breakdown. It's speaking against this stereotypical notion of what a woman should be like (innocent, full of humility, one who suppresses her anger, etc.) opposed to what a woman really is. It takes a real woman to be strong and independent. It's speaking to all the men who want to love us for our bodies rather than our minds, and who want to embrace a woman who will obey everything they say. Also, someone mentioned about how this song reminded them of PMS. Haha, it's kind of true and I definitely see it this song! But it's also an embodiment of what being a woman - and not only a woman, but a human being with real feelings and all kinds of aspects to their personality - is really like.

    I love this song! I might be repeating some msg's, but I still dont feel like reading them all, too much LOL'ing. so here it goes, what this song means to ME: This is a song about every woman who ever lived, who can be a mother: responsible, and mature. And the next minute a child: who is free of all expectaions, and demands. or as Meredith says (so nicely:): Tomorrow I will change, And today won't mean a thing!. Kisses, Natalie.
