Impersonality Lyrics

When I was three feet tall
I loved the mall
and lived life for myself
Fallin down for laughs
your photograph
some puppets made of felt
Watching ???? last Thanksgiving eve on Grandma's old TV
Dancing roundabout I twist and shout for everyone to see
Impersonality
It's leaning hard on me
Mama's in her shop
watching little sister by myself
Robbed the wishing pond
in a fleeting bond
Bound to share the wealth
Scooping up the coins
a warning shout from some authority
Doesn't matter now
but I'll shout out loud
for everyone to see
Never got to know ya
Did you ever wonder why
Now it's nice to know ya
And I'm glad you're doing fine
Think of all the time lost
Was it really lost at all
Now I'm so proud of ya
I'd love to tell you all I see
Listen hard to your reality

(i think he's saying "watching life in oz thanksgiving eve on gramma's old tv.")

to me, this is just a song about how hyper and childlike robby was when he was "three feet tall." =) he just shares some of his memories with his listeners.

To me, this song, like others on this album, is political. Impersonality, I dont know if it's a word, but to me it suggests lacking in a personality. Such as a drone, moulded by society. People who conform loose there character, by acting like everyone else. When you are kid you are very individual, "When I was three feet tall." And you could act like a goon and nobody cared. Infact everyone thought it was cute. The character in the song, had decided to reamin an individual, perhaps after being an "impersonality". Maybe not correct, just my interpretation.

This song always makes me happy. And the lyrics are really messed up here, but oh well. I think that there's a political meaning behind it, too, but, meh, it could mean anything really.
