i think this song is about a guy playing hard-to-get. "another second time around, i've been runnin' from ya..." and "couldn't help myself, i felt like everything was gonna pass..." makes perfect sense to me.
Some troubled relationship that's for sure ... or well, I'm not sure it's a relationship...:S Anyhow, what get's me is the part "The fun of holding you down or seeing you frown is never gonna pass. Somewhere there's a place a soul can never go"
