I always thought this song was kind of sexual in nature, something abou the line "Jody's gonna get religion, all night long" makes me think that. It just reminds me of a night of staying up and partying, making out with a girl, being young and having fun.

@denise1671 In the military "Jody" is someone who's stealing your girl (or guy) while you're not there. So I'm not sure why they'd use that in this instance, but "get religion all night" - yeah I agree that's what they mean.
