This is their best song and one of my faves. The music is great and the lyrics - though not extraordinary - are so intense
I've always thought of this as a love song, she's talking about the mind games and pain before you found the love of her life and how the world has changed and she needs him to be there for her. I've found with the Cranberries though that even their love songs are kind of melancholy.
